The RAPIDx AI domain service provides the corresponding service-level functionality for the RAPIDx AI project.

Service architecture

The RAPIDx AI service follows the general structure of a HeartAI reactive microservice. The corresponding domain entity represents patients presenting to South Australian emergency departments with chest pain. The data of this service entity contains patient identifiers, patient status, clinical observations and history, blood pathology, ECG diagnostics, and information about medical management. In addition, the real-time predictive analytics of these patients is available as corresponding data of the domain service.

Service API

Clients of the RAPIDx AI service may contact the service API to retrieve the following domain information:

  • Utility APIs, including functionality to confirm service availability.
  • Information about an individual patient.
  • The current list of patients within emergency departments.

This data is available through a variety of service interface mechanisms. In addition to direct API interfaces, clients may also subscribe to the message bus endpoints of the RAPIDx AI domain service to receive real-time updates of domain events.

Siemens RAPIDx AI Clinical Interface Prototype

In a supporting partnership with the RAPIDx AI project, Siemens will deploy the RAPIDx AI Clinical Interface Prototype to provide a robust interface at the clinical point-of-care. The Siemens RAPIDx AI Clinical Interface Prototype also provides data collection mechanisms for domain data that is not routinely available through health system digital data. The client interface for the RAPIDx AI Clinical Interface Prototype may PATCH the corresponding service entity with updated entity information, through which the service will return the updated entity along with updated predictive analytics.
